The Kosovo Banking Association concludes the Annual Banking Conference encourages the reducing of cash transactions

The Kosovo Banking Association (KBA) held its annual conference on "Reducing Cash Transactions: Opportunities and Challenges". In this conference it was said that 2 million bank accounts and about 500 ATMs are active in the banking system in Kosovo. Card transactions have increased, but the use of electronic transactions is still low. Conference participants said initiatives and actions should be taken to increase cashless transactions, reports Online Economy.


The Chairman of Board of Directors of  KBA Ilir Aliu, said the banking sector is contributing to the development of new professional human resources. 

The main indicators this year are reaching new levels .The Banking Sector has 3 billion euro deposits. The loans have expanded above 10 percent but we still have room for financing new projects.There was an increase in deposits and as well as loans. The household  loans reached the value of 874 million euro, while for businesses it was above 1 billion euro.
