Kosovo Banking Association held a welcome meeting with staff members of Japan Embassy in Pristina

On the occasion of the opening of the Japanese Embassy in Kosovo, Mr. Mitsunori Ogasawara, head of the office of the Japanese Embassy and his team visited the Kosovo Banking Association. Chief Executive Officer of the Kosovo Banking Association, Mr. Petrit Balija said that the decision to open the Japanese Embassy in Kosovo strengthens the relations of the people of Kosovo with the people of Japan and opens new opportunities for both countries. In this meeting, the banking sector in Kosovo was discussed as well as Japan's aims to increase its investments in Kosovo and to facilitate the movement of people, capital and ideas between the two countries. Mr. Ogasawara said that he wants the Japanese people to come and see Kosovo closely, to experience the hospitality of Kosovars and to see the progress Kosovo has made over the years so that Kosovo's image can be communicated in a fair way. Mr. Balija briefed the participants on the latest developments in the banking sector and further plans for the advancement of the banking sector. The parties agreed on close cooperation for the future as well.
