The final part of the Banking Cybersecurity Forum 2024 included the second discussion panel and a presentation on cyberattacks.
As technology evolves, the risks of sophisticated cyberattacks increase, making the protection of financial institutions more critical than ever. Jose M. Moreno de Barreda, Global Digital Finance Specialist, International Finance Corporation, presented the topic "The Sophistication of Cyberattacks - How to Build Resilience". The presentation explored advanced cyber tactics currently being used in attacks and what institutions can do to strengthen their defenses and face potential threats.
The second panel, "Enhancing Cybersecurity through Inter-Institutional and International/Regional Cooperation," discussed the importance of cross-border cooperation and partnerships as essential for cybersecurity. Moderated by Ertan Iliyaz, Member of the Kosovo Banking Association Cybersecurity Committee / Chief Information Security Officer at Isbank Kosova, the panel also included other specialists such as:
