Kosovo Banking Association reacts after armed robbery at a bank in Shtime

The Kosovo Banking Association strongly condemns today’s act of robbery at a bank in Shtime, where it calls on law enforcement institutions to bring perpetrators of this horrific criminal act to justice as soon as possible who, at gunpoint, endangered the safety of police officers, citizens, and bank employees.

Such criminal groups, which aim to harm Kosovo’s businesses, in particular, banks that endanger the well-being of citizens and severely damage Kosovo’s image, must be identified as soon as possible and receive the strong deterring punishment.

Kosovo Banking Association, in order to increase security in the banking sector, in February of this year, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Kosovo Police and the Central Bank of Kosovo, in order to promote cooperation in raising the level of security in the banking sector so that banks, their employees and citizens have a safer environment for conducting their activities.
