The Kosovo Banking Association welcomes the approval of the draft law on electronic identification

On the occasion of the approval of the draft law on electronic identification and trust services on electronic transactions by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Kosovo Banking Association welcomed the approval of this draft law.

The digitalization of services directly contributes to economic and social sustainability, so the creation of a conducive environment that provides security for electronic transactions is a necessity for the development of the digital economy.

The Kosovo Banking Association has worked and advocated on the issue of electronic identification and electronic signature for several years, and this issue has been one of the top priorities for advocacy to relevant state institutions and authorities through working groups.

Approval of the new legal framework for electronic identification and services entrusted to electronic transactions will be a great legal aid to businesses, consumers, and society by eliminating previous barriers to concrete implementation.
