Kosovo Banking Association member banks donate 50,000 Euros to support the vaccination process in Kosovo

On behalf of the member banks, the Kosovo Banking Association has signed an MoU with the Ministry of Health through which the banks have allocated the amount of 50,000 Euros to support the vaccination process in Kosovo.

"To support the vaccination process and health personnel, Kosovo commercial banks are making a valuable contribution. In June of this year, we gave a donation with equipment for digital signature in vaccination centers throughout Kosovo, while now commercial banks have allocated another donation in the monetary value of 50,000 euros. "Since vaccination is the answer in the fight against the pandemic, we all need to do more to support this process", said the Chief Executive Officer of the Kosovo Banking Association, Petrit Balija.

Kosovo commercial banks have continued to provide assistance and contribution to the prevention and protection against the virus since the outbreak of the pandemic and continue to be close to their customers during this difficult period. Providing the necessary financing for the country's economy. Despite the many challenges posed by the pandemic, the banking sector continues to maintain stability and continues to finance the economy by providing the necessary liquidity to both businesses and households.

"We as the Ministry of Health are very grateful for this donation and for the continuous assistance that the banking sector is doing to fight the pandemic. This donation will be accepted by the Ministry of Health and will be made available to medical staff and volunteers of vaccination teams in Kosovo", said Faik Hoti, Head of the Public Communication Division at the Ministry of Health on the occasion of signing the agreement for this donation.

Furthermore, the Kosovo Banking Association calls on citizens to be vaccinated to prevent the spread of the virus.
