Kosovo Banking Association reacts to the firearm attack against a cash transportation vehicle

Kosovo Banking Association reacts after the armed attack that took place today in the afternoon against a cash transportation vehicle on the Pristina-Gjilan highway.

Kosovo Banking Association condemns the attack against the cash transportation provider and demands the case be resolved by the competent security authorities as well as the identification of perpetrators of this crime as soon as possible and bringing them before the justice authorities.

We believe that the security situation so far has been calm, however, today’s incident shows the importance and need for security institutions to be vigilant at the end of the year, as cases of such attacks tend to increase on the eve of the end of the year holidays. To create a climate and environment as safe as possible, we consider the Kosovo Police needs to take additional precautions.

Therefore, we call on all security authorities to increase the level of preparedness in preventing these dangerous cases that may have major consequences for the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
