Paying and shopping online safely

24.11.2021, Pristina

The Kosovo Banking Association information campaign in cooperation with Visa keeps being promoted until December 2021.

These methods are safe, simple, and fast, and these modes of operation, which focus on facilitating the work of banking customers, are therefore the main goal of financial institutions in Kosovo.

Digitalization of banking services and advancement of processes with the latest products and services has already been offering real-time access to customers to see how much money they have in the account, make transfers in seconds, and even pay bills for various private and institutional companies.

The Kosovo Banking Association member banks are constantly committed to providing a wide portfolio of products and services that meet the customers’ needs.

The Head of the BPB Retail and Marketing Department, Adonis Bllacaku, spoke about the importance of online payments and purchases.

“The importance of online payments, at the same time their efficiency and the benefit they can bring us in some areas has been mostly noticed during the lockdown period due to the pandemic. In this period, the customers themselves became interested in these products. The same mood is still persisting, however, it is important to constantly have awareness and new information in this regard”, said Bllacaku, explaining why special attention is being paid to the awareness campaign in digital banking services.

“Through these payment instruments, we as BPB as well as other commercial banks in Kosovo, aim to establish faster communication with customers and enable them to save time and energy, fulfilling their obligations through technological equipment”, says the Head of the BPB Retail and Marketing Department.

“It is important for us, and this is why we have joined the campaign, to inform our customers that this whole process is very safe. In fact, using non-cash instruments also avoids many risks, such as counterfeiting, theft, maintenance, and transportation costs. This is also the reason why this way of functioning will continue to be part of the strategy for the future of our bank", he concluded.

Payments and online purchases have become common globally for several years now. Changes and advancements in the technology area are constantly making a transition from cash payments to online ones inevitable.

Also, most importantly, not limiting the time when you can perform certain services, has made this trend unquestionably accessible to stakeholders.

Therefore, this campaign further aims at giving banks access to the needs of users, as well as financial inclusion of the population and informing them of online payments.

With the improvement of the payment market in the country, the system will be further adapted towards new technological and innovative improvements, with favorable and competitive conditions in the Kosovo market, against customer care.
