The Kosovo Banking Association reacts against the armed robbery of a commercial bank in Pristina

A branch of a commercial bank was attacked this morning, in which an armed robbery took place, shocking the staff, the bank's customers and the citizens at the scene.

The Kosovo Banking Association condemns this criminal act and urges the responsible authorities to be more committed in preventing, investigating, and arresting those involved in these cases and at the same time we ask the justice institutions to bring to light the necessary proofs and facts in order to make possible to impose the highest sentences according to law which would discourage these attacks that seriously endanger life and property in Kosovo.

In recent years, the banking sector has faced a high number of armed attacks, which is a serious concern for this sector. The safety of businesses to operate freely is guaranteed and must be protected at all costs by security institutions, so we demand concrete and immediate action from the relevant authorities to provide a safe environment for businesses and citizens in Kosovo.
