Kosovo Banking Association concludes the activities of Global Money Week

Kosovo Banking Association (KBA) with the support of commercial banks concluded the activities for the 11th edition of Global Money Week. As every year, KBA organized educational activities for children from various schools in Kosovo, which aim to familiarize children with the concept of money, the culture of saving and budget planning. Global Money Week is an annual global awareness campaign on the importance of early financial literacy and development of skills to make sound financial decisions. This year, Global Money Week was marked from 20 to 26 March.

Global Money Week was marked in three cities of Kosovo: Pristina, Gjilan and Vushhtrri. Participating schools of this global campaign were: SHMFU "Elena Gjika", Pristina; "Thimi Mitko" SHMFU, Gjilan; and SHMFU "Naim Frashëri", Vushtrri. This year, Global Money Week took place under the motto "Plan your money, plant your future" which, in addition to the message of saving money, also focused on another very important issue such as individual financial well-being and its connection with the health of the planet and society as a whole.

For the 11th edition of Global Money Week, the Department of Communication and Marketing of KBA presented to the children a material prepared on the functions of money, its origin, trading in ancient times, up to the development of coins and banknotes that we know today, not leaving aside the rise of banks and their history. Together with children open discussions and educational group games related to managing and saving money were held. The activities ended with lots of laughter, fun, dancing, music, gifts, but above all with more knowledge about money and saving.
