The Banking Law was discussed

With the aim of being as transparent as possible in accordance with new developments and European directives, a meeting was held where the advancement of the draft law on Banks in Kosovo was discussed.

Parties from the Kosovo Banking Association and the Central Bank of Kosovo were present at the meeting. The main points of discussion were the changes that the draft law will provide which will enable banks to lend more to businesses, as well as the matter of corporate
governance that guarantees a better development of the banking sector.

Kosovo Banking Association requested that this draft law should be included in the legislative plan of the governance of the Republic of Kosovo, preferably within the year 2023. Among other things, the parties agreed to continue with further negotiations so that the law is
as applicable and relevant in practice.
