Board of Directors of Kosovo Banking Association meets the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund

Collaborative efforts between public and private sectors can lead to better outcomes than individual efforts. Meetings between these sectors can foster collaboration and cooperation, resulting in shared ideas, resources, and strategies to solve complex problems and achieve
common goals.

To discuss responsibilites and challenges Board of Directors of Kosovo Banking Association in the second meeting for the year 2023, among other topics they also welcomed the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund in the meeting. In this meeting, they discussed the latest developments within the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund and the new opportunities that will increase lending to priority sectors. Among other things, it was discussed how the Banking Sector and KCGF can cooperate in order to facilitate access to finance for certain sectors of the economy and segments of society where they will be able to benefit such as: Agriculture and food processing, Enterprises engaged in
export, Newly established enterprises (start up), Enterprises owned or managed by women (women in business), and also Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. In general it was discussed about the areas of cooperation that can contribute to the economic well-being of the
country through better financing. In this meeting, other topics were also discussed, such as the proposed agreement between KBA and IFC for sustainable financing, regulatory framework for the banking sector, training programs in the field of compliance, the humanitarian fund to help Turkey due to the tragic earthquake, and other important issues.

This meeting was attended by Board of Directors of KBA, representative from Legal Commitee of KBA and representatives from Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund. The meeting was followed by a working lunch with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on the occasion of the arrival of the new EBRD Manager for Kosovo.
