Kosovo Banking Association with the support of Commercial Banks continues the activities of Global Money Week

In continuation of the activities of Global Money Week, representatives from Kosovo Banking Association visited SHFMU "Thimi Mitko" in Gjilan. We started the day by discussing the importance of financial education and its impact on our daily lives. We talked with the pupils about the different ways in which we can earn, save and invest money and how these actions can help us achieve our long-term goals. Pupils  asked thoughtful questions and shared their experiences, proving to us that from a  very young age they are thinking in critical ways about the value of money.

After different games and activities  we concluded the day by facilitating a budgeting exercise that allowed the students to practice making financial decisions. They were given different scenarios, each with its own set of expenses and income, and were tasked with creating a budget that balanced their spending and savings. We were amazed by their creativity and resourcefulness, and we know that these skills will serve them well in the future.

Through games, group work and joint discussion we learned that saving and managing money are beneficial habits for everyone. The enthusiastic students of "Thimi Mitko" school welcomed the activities of Global Money Week and shared with us their knowledge, ideas and efforts to save money to buy the things they want. The activity ended with music, dancing and lots of laughter. It's clear that financial literacy is a critical skill that everyone should possess, regardless of age or background. We hope that our visit helped to reinforce the importance of financial education and encouraged these students to continue to develop their financial skills.
