Sustainable Horizons: Charting Kosovo’s Green Building Investment Future

Sustainability has become a central focus in many spheres of life globally, and increasingly, it is taking up space in our discussions in Kosovo as well. Green #investments are a crucial component of the #sustainable #agenda, with buildings, road infrastructure, and energy representing the majority of green investments.

To further discuss the importance of this topic, Kosovo Banking Association, in collaboration with the IFC - International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group, organized the event: Sustainable Horizons: Charting Kosovo’s Green Building Investment Future, with the main objective being to catalyze a dynamic partnership between financial institutions and key players in the construction sector.

The Chief Executive Officer of Kosovo Banking Association, Mr.Petrit Balija in his opening speech for this event, stated: "The banking sector remains ready to offer cooperation on this journey as they have been key partners in the expansion and growth of the construction sector over the past 20 years, so too will they be in the greening of these buildings in the next 20 years."

The event was attended by key actors of this initiative, which is increasingly moving towards a #safer and more #sustainable #future. They had the opportunity to follow the panel discussion on the topic: " Rethinking Real Estate through Green Innovation ", ask questions, and learn from the experiences of other #institutions that presented their journey. However, it is important to understand that achieving #sustainability goals in green buildings in Kosovo requires joint and continuous commitment from all relevant actors.
