The Kosovo Banking Association Requests the Introduction of Apple Pay in Kosovo
The Kosovo Banking Association, through its Payments Committee, continuously works to facilitate and advance digital payment solutions in the country. As part of this commitment, the KBA has officially expressed its interest, on behalf of the banking sector, in the possibility of enabling Apple Pay in Kosovo, recognizing the growing demand for secure and innovative payment methods.

The CEO of the Kosovo Banking Association, Petrit Balija, during the address of the request to Apple Inc., emphasized that the banking sector in Kosovo is steadily moving towards integrating Kosovo's payment system with internationally modernized systems, with the goal of facilitating payments for the citizens of Kosovo.
The population of Kosovo, known for its frequent use of new technologies and the rapid growth in the use of digital payments, makes this country an excellent market for Apple Pay. The introduction of this service would bring benefits not only to consumers and local businesses but would also enable Apple to enter a growing market of digital users.
The KBA has officially requested a letter of intent from Apple Inc. to explore the possibility of launching Apple Pay in Kosovo and is ready to facilitate discussions to make this a reality.
Stay tuned for updates as we continue our commitment to improving the digital payment experience in Kosovo!
