Kosovo Banking Association has established, within the Risk Committee, a Sub-committee on Sustainable Banking, one of the principal objectives of which is to contribute to policy making in this area, so that the banking sector in Kosovo is part of sustainable financing and part of reporting frameworks, both at the national and global level.
The Sub-Committee for Sustainable Banking has an advisory function for the management of commercial banks, that represents a platform of the members of Kosovo Banking Association that aims to share knowledge and raise capacities in the field of sustainable banking.
The objectives of this sub-committee is to create and implement initiatives that promote the development of sustainable financing. Increasing the awareness and transparency of financial actors and business enterprises to implement the necessary criteria for a pro- green environment, more sustainable economy and better corporate governance.
The Sub-Committee for Sustainable Banking is chaired by Mrs. Antigona Limani Bejtullahu, Head of Sustainability and Communication at Raiffeisen Bank and vice chair Mr. Fatos Hasani, Head of the Environmental Management Unit at ProCredit Bank.
