The objective of the Legal Committee within the Banking Association is to protect the interests of the Banking Sector in Kosovo and enhance legal infrastructure in line with continuous developments in the banking sector at local and international levels.

In keeping up with the ever-increasing demands in the market, the Legal Committee will continue providing legal support and assistance towards achieving objectives of the Banking Sector in complete compliance with legal principles, thus assisting in the overall economic development of the country. The Legal Committee is tasked to participate in working groups at the invitation of local institutions, wherein a practical way it will help the lawmakers in drafting appropriate legal acts for implementation.  The Legal Committee cooperates closely with the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK) in order to implement faster and more accurately the regulatory requirements.

Providing legal support, ethics in doing business, partnership with local institutions, legal infrastructure, and security, and a constructive environment are the basis through which Legal Committee guides the banking sector to grow in a responsible manner.

The Legal Committee is chaired by Partin Pruthi, Head of Legal Department at the TEB Bank J.S.C and vice-chair Kastriot Jëlliqi, Legal Specialist of Legal Department at the Credins Bank J.S.C.
