The Training Center of the Kosovo Banking Association was established in 2005 and has played an active role in the banking sector development process. The role of training in KBA is to fulfill the needs of the banking sector by providing training for all those who wish to gain knowledge in the field of banking and finance.
In 2011 KBA Banking Training Center became the first accredited institute in the region to offer the European Foundation Certificate in Banking (EFCB) for the sector and banking recruits, thus bringing European standards in banking sector in Kosovo, and creating a uniform foundation of qualifications for all bankers in the sector in line with European qualifications. The training courses are specifically designed for banks and the attendees come from the banking sector and the Central Bank, Micro-finance Institutions and insurance companies. The training course curriculum is designed in close collaboration with the managers of the banks’ staff.

The House of Training-ATTF has been organizing a training called “Risk Management Excellence in Microfinance” since a substantial number years in collaboration with ADA (“Appui au Développement Autonome”) and ALRiM (Luxembourg Association for Risk Management). This year another edition of this training will be organized in Luxembourg from 18 to 22 November. The seminar will be conducted by several experts and will be held in English, with simultaneous translation in French.
Kosovo Banking Association staff members will have a special opportunity to apply for this Training and benefit from the support given by our partner - House of Training from Luxembourg.
The essential goal of this training is to allow CEO’s and Executives of Microfinance Institutions (MFI’s), banks and central banks in charge of microfinance to further develop their knowledge and understanding of the aspect of Risk Management in the field of microfinance. In a nutshell, the conditions are as follows:
Professionals who are interested are requested to send their fully completed application form in English or in French to the House of Training-ATTF by 3 September 2019 (see attached forms)
Financial conditions: the participant’s contribution is 1000 EUR (VAT incl) and participants should pay for their own travel and visa costs. The Luxembourg Ministry of Finance will, however, co-finance all other fees such as accommodation at d’Coque hotel including breakfast, expert and management fees.
The training will be held in the premises of the Training Center of the Chamber of Commerce.
