Kosovo Banking Association reacts to the action taken by Social Democratic Party-PSD activists against commercial banks

Kosovo Banking Association reacts to the action carried out today by the activists of the Social Democratic Party-PSD who have expressed their dissatisfaction by interfering in the premises of the commercial banks with disinformation banners and slogans during the working hours of banks in order to damage the image of commercial banks of Kosovo.

This act is considered inadmissible because we consider that it harms Kosovo businesses, especially banks and severely damages Kosovo's image towards existing and potential investors.

The banking sector is one of the largest employers and taxpayers in the country which has over 3500 employees. Commercial banks operate in accordance with the best international standards, laws and regulations of the Republic of Kosovo and are one of the most contributing sectors in the economic development of the country.

We consider that a stable banking sector contributes to the overall economic development of Kosovo and any attack on banks seriously affects the economic stability of the country. It is therefore important that any ambiguities or concerns are addressed institutionally.
