Meeting with the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers

Continuous coordination and consultation of activities between the public and private sectors is very important to give positive results. Consultations with stakeholders increase transparency and enable laws and decisions of state institutions to be implementable and to the benefit of the private sector. When the private sector benefits, the citizens of this country benefit as well as entrepreneurs and employees in these enterprises and also the state through tax collection.

In the framework of regular cooperation between the banking sector and state institutions, a meeting was held with the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Mr. Hekuran Murati. From the Kosovo Banking Association, the representatives of the member banks of KBA participated, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of KBA, Mr. Petrit Balija.

In this meeting, the participants discussed the achievements of the banking sector during 2022 and the challenges that must be addressed for the future. In this aspect, it was emphasized that there was a significant increase in overall lending and in particular for the manufacturing sector, which has marked a large increase in 2022. It was also discussed about the increase in digital transactions, which also marked a high growth in the year 2022 and this trend is expected to continue. At the same time, the legislative and economic challenges that must be addressed jointly were discussed.
